Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection (BMJV)

GIZ works with the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection (BMJV) in the area of international cooperation on consumer affairs. BMJV and GIZ also exchange information and expertise on the various measures they are implementing in the field of international legal and judicial cooperation.

On behalf of BMJV, GIZ is implementing a project with China and Brazil to enhance consumer data protection. It is also supporting dialogue between BMJV and partners in South Korea on issues affecting consumer protection in the digital era.

In addition, the Ministry is involved in the Sino-German Rule of Law Dialogue, which GIZ supports on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

GIZ also assists the Ministry to secure funding from the EU.
