Lecture Series 2020: #3 Pathways to climate-neutral mobility

Lecture Series 2020: #3 Pathways to climate-neutral mobility

In contrast to all other sectors, transport-related greenhouse gases have risen by almost ten per cent in recent years compared with the base year 1990. If we are to manage the climate crisis and health impacts resulting from the growing volume of traffic, then a radical U-turn is crucial. The challenge facing policy-makers and society is to make mobility climate neutral by 2050. This will require a political and cultural transformation. What strategies are viable on the road to environmentally sound mobility?

The 2020 lecture series focuses on sustainable mobility. It highlights approaches and challenges related to the transition towards sustainable mobility concepts in the political, environmental, economic and social dimensions. We invite you to join in the discussion as we address these key core elements regarding climate neutrality, international and local transport strategies, and political and industrial responsibility.
